That's the Riddle!
If it doesn't have too large of particles, you can shave it down with a rib of death, or better, window screening, outside in a breeze.

It really does. After all the work done, to have it fail in the end. It happens to all of us sooner or later. That sucks when they don't make it in Round 2.
No, all the same. It fractured in bisque firing. I glazed mainly to use it as a test tileThis is a very unusual fracture pattern. Was your floor slab wetter than your wall slab when you joined?

Thanks the large one is unglazed and the small one is a matte white. I was wanting a kind of grey but owellThose are some really nice pots. Too bad they keep cracking.
think I have been so paranoid about the bottoms sagging
If the clay is appropriate it shouldn't sag unless you fire it beyond its recommended range. What clay are you using. I would guess it is one from Laguna.I really haven’t seen much sag it’s all preventative. I think I’ll take my chances on the next few pots. I don’t think it’s the clay body yet... I have used this clay before and others use it without problem. I think it’s something I am doing.
I use clay from Georgies. It’s an Oregon company. If the clay is appropriate it shouldn't sag unless you fire it beyond its recommended range. What clay are you using. I would guess it is one from Laguna.
Additionally, a little sag is a lot less of a problem than a broken pot.
Your pot is very nice and I know it was a lot of work my friend in pottery .... and bonsai.
