Diving into pottery

Pot from post #8 and 11
A couple cracks... I cleared it and will fire it again. If it stays together I’ll epoxy them and use it as a training pot

The color on that marble joint is wicked!
Doesn't seem like a shrinkage issue.
I'd put a lip on a marbly one.

What is the firing schedule/schedules?
Are the shelves washed?

Seems a firing cracks.

Strips of 1/4” of wood and a large dowl. The slab roller they have doesn’t work well for me and this method is quicker. Plus less clean up
Would you mind showing me a picture of the tools you used to rolled this out? Thanks

It cracked prior to the first firing. With my limited knowledge... I think it dried too fast. It went from being sealed in a garbage bag and being “moist,” to open air in a warm studio.

I have gotten some seam cracks after the glaze firing on my other pots.

all I know they go to cone 6, I don’t have control of the kilns...

From here it looks like warpage stress. maybe up the wall thickness a bit and try your joins when the parts are a little more dry than what those were... minimal handling as allegedly they would remember any bends.

I think these were a little on the damp side, I’m going to change my process a little. I also am going to go thicker. I also may put a lip/rim on top to help structural integrity
