Would you mind showing me a picture of the tools you used to rolled this out? ThanksStrips of 1/4” of wood and a large dowl. The slab roller they have doesn’t work well for me and this method is quicker. Plus less clean up
It cracked prior to the first firing. With my limited knowledge... I think it dried too fast. It went from being sealed in a garbage bag and being “moist,” to open air in a warm studio. The color on that marble joint is wicked!
Doesn't seem like a shrinkage issue.
I'd put a lip on a marbly one.
What is the firing schedule/schedules?
Are the shelves washed?
Seems a firing cracks.

I have enough to make a small pot, I’ll try a little thicker and see what I can doSo nice.
You gotta perfect that!

I think these were a little on the damp side, I’m going to change my process a little. I also am going to go thicker. I also may put a lip/rim on top to help structural integrityFrom here it looks like warpage stress. maybe up the wall thickness a bit and try your joins when the parts are a little more dry than what those were... minimal handling as allegedly they would remember any bends.
Training pot my ass! I know I've seen threads on this site in the past on kintsugi. I think one of them used JBWeld and some gold foil to great effect. This pot is too nice not to have a showcase tree in itThis is the pot from post #8
I’ll epoxy the cracks it will be a beautiful training pot

Looking good!Back at it, switched clays. This one is a little easier to work and less shrinkage. Not finished still needs a rim. 14x11x3
