Diving into pottery

That first shape is exquisite, I think a viewing angle view would be even more nice.

The other glaze is sweet.

Strontium, copper and titanium?

If you use wax resist you can make a nice clean glaze edge. I think it looks neater and more professional

Really like all of these. Great glazes and shapes.

However, I have noticed that most, from a practical standpoint, lack enough drain holes, or the holes aren't in terrific locations. Most specifically, there aren't many, if any larger drain holes at the corners or along the outsides of the interiors...for instance that last long green pot has one central drain hole and tie down holes. Tie down holes can't really double for drainage...I would be hesitant to use such a pot for a tree as there is considerable room for "dead spots" that can kill roots when the pot is filled with soil and water.

Don't want to discourage you. Your work is excellent! Think drainage as well as glazes. 😁

It’s an 8” pot, sometimes I put 2 drain holes sometimes one. I felt like this would be fine with 1 hole. I get what you are saying

It’s copper patina from Georgies. I spray it to get the variety in shades

I thought the photo was the angle you at it from a tree straight on, level with the top of the pot??

It depends on the size I guess.

That looks large enough to be on a low stand or jita on a standard "show height" table.

There are several copper patina glazes on the market and several recipes. There are subtle differences but they are basically the same. I have a couple buckets full that I made up a few years ago and though I am sure I followed the same formula, they do act differently. There is something to be said for buying commercial glazes. There is also something to be said for making your own. I remember one batch where I used a bit of cobalt in the glaze. I wish to hell I knew which unmarked bucket it was. Since I have developed COPD, I am nowadays more inclined to buy my glazes.
Not meaning to steal the thread, just supporting the action of using commercial glazes. I do use a dust mask but a lot of potters who didn't are no longer with us.

FWIW....

I have 8 sample 2oz. Bottles of Mayco's Satin Patina left....

If any of you potters want some, buy a pot and I'll send one along upon request.

This is a really nice glaze. I have a gallon of it.
It was the glaze that was on that copper patina pot I sold a couple weeks ago and everyone loved it.
