Sand Squid? I'm a Dirt Sailor! (Seabee)

Cool tree! I've got 3 from seed this year and I'll be planting in a larger container at some point soon too.
oorah! I did a couple tours in the sandbox, not SeeBee though. Just some cool IA work as a comms guy in convoy ops. Got to wear type-3s before they were standard issue. Thanks for your service!

What a tease
:p I already posted them on the Latest Bonsai purchase thread, didn't want to be redundant. BRT is bigger than it looks and the bark is starting to peel under the moss on the trunk and a twisty little Kinzu complete with fruit.

Went home from work and was in the middle of feeding my trees with some liquid fish fertilizer when I was called away.

8.5 ft 190 lbs gator properly skinned and butchered with just a Henkel’s paring knife.

Uncle, so there are alligators roaming around in the water. No more BC, only Mayhaw from now on.

Finally moved this prickley pear off my bonsai bench and planted it. It's in a pond basket to keep the sand and lava rock mix in place because this hill is a washout nightmare. The nursery had it in solid potting mix and it got sad looking anytime it rained.

The skin belongs to my friend who owns the tag for harvesting the gator. It is going to be tanned for leather. Some day I will get one of my own. Hmmmm bonsai tool bag?
Just a few small strips and you can wrap all of your bonsai tool handles

Potting up a RM juniper yamadori from last weekend.

Cmon now, you can’t tease us with just the roots! Let’s see the tree!

A tree from Nationals pick up arrived with a cracked slab so applied epoxy and copper wire to hold it in place. Plan is to place initial structure this fall and repot next year if it all goes to plan. Funny enough, stumbled on a Ron Lang slab at Nationals that could be an ideal slab replacement for it.
