I did a little thinning of old needles that were shading the lowest branches on my @cmeg1 JBP. It’s amazing how fast these are growing.

A tree from Nationals pick up arrived with a cracked slab so applied epoxy and copper wire to hold it in place. Plan is to place initial structure this fall and repot next year if it all goes to plan. Funny enough, stumbled on a Ron Lang slab at Nationals that could be an ideal slab replacement for it.

I wanted to get a better background for my photos. The grey was getting dull and dirty. I figured white would be better. I’m happy with the results.

Here’s a photo of a quince against the old backdrop.


And here it is with the new background.


I think the clean white will help bring out a best in my photos going forward.

Went home from work and was in the middle of feeding my trees with some liquid fish fertilizer when I was called away.

8.5 ft 190 lbs gator properly skinned and butchered with just a Henkel’s paring knife.

Don’t ask me why(I don’t remember lol) but went with Vossen HF6 on the Gran Turismo Turbo. Know anyone looking for a 981 GT4? Looking to unload it since my GT4RS allocation just got called.

Nothing too exciting with the trees today other than the scheduled drenching. I did however secure the acquisition of an iconic Mirai tree. Ira was gracious and entrusted me with the care of Mirai’s Bald Cypress no.1.
