My hands were crazy swollen by the end of the day and I got blisters (chose the WORST shoes and socks for this trip) , lol. Bonsai is brutal. Really wish the venue had AC

July 24th I took off the plastic cup and found a good amount of roots. I rewrapped in plastic and added akadama/pumice fines and let it go for another 45 days. The roots grew out to the perimeter of the bag. I separated this yesterday and potted it up.

Dig a couple more forsythia... think four of these is enough to play with. There are a few more where I need to clear but ill probably junk em unless they are of any special quality.

Today I checked out a 50 year old juniper yardadori I will be digging out of my new front yard at some future point. Don't know the specific cultivar, but the foliage looks like Chinensis, and based on color, I'm guessing Sea Green or Mint Julep. Got a 4 inch trunk and wicked bends. Some day it could be awesome.
