Just curious, what is the price range for a dog in the US?

Depends on what you're looking for and where you're looking. Shelters and rescue organizations can be "free" sources, but there are many expenses associated with both, so no they ain't free.

You can, just like anywhere else on the planet, get a free puppy from someone, you can buy one from a guy who's breeding them in his backyard, or from a breeder. In other words, a lot of places for a wild range of prices. You can get good and bad dogs from all of these for "nothing" or for a stupid amount of money.

First photo is of my first Bull Terrier Jack about a month before he chewed a four foot wide hole in my kitchen wall. The next week he chewed off the windowsill. Industrious little pup. Second is when he was about three years old. He had a thing for catching Frisbees.

Excited to see them...will you offer PayPal as a payment option then?
Darlene,

I have hesitated putting any of them online because of the inconvenience it will cause buyers and me.

I don't have paypal at this point, but I am investigating it. I may wind up without that kind of auto payment, though.

FWIW, I'm leaning in favor of it, but that kind of quick payment will probably make people expect super-fast shipping. Shipping will be timely, but since I have a day job, probably not as fast as people want and expect from professional sellers. :)

Honestly, if one is aware of the start...then they should not mind the delay. Myself...I hate "owing" a person. So quick payment is my preferred choice. So ones know I'm serious and not waisting their time. But...once paid. I totally get this isn't ones day job...and am fine with waiting. Shoot I've a stock pile of pots accumulating in the UK with Vic Harris. Trust me...I'm fine with waiting...I feel the fast payment is more for the seller to ensure they have an actual buyer.

I hear ya.:)

Let's just say, as a reasonable, patient human being, you are a treasured customer for sellers. I have already run into some flakes without even posting stuff.

Sorry to hear that...and shame on them!
That's to bad. Ones like that make it a difficult task when it shouldn't be. We should look at sellers as our to go man/woman. And treat them with respect. Because they open the pathway for material we typically can't get our hands on. Living very rural and you can't even buy a decent gift without going an hour to an hour and a half away to do so. I look at sellers in a whole different light I imagine. Shame otherso can't see it the same way.

My Scottish Terrier was nearly double that - and worth every penny, even though he contributes very little to home/tree security!
GSDS are the 2nd most popular breed. There are lots so they are a little cheaper. Rupert was on the cheap side of their price range. I tried to get a GSD rescue but couldn't find any near me.
Truth be known,I wouldn't even consider selling him for a million dollars.
