Bonsai at work…

Hah! I put those tweezers in the picture purely to get a response from you...man, I'm good:cool:.
Those are the kind of tweezers I use for repotting.

I haven't started any fall work on my JBP yet. The needles still haven't hardened off.

The old needles on my JWP have yellowed and mostly fallen off. So it's safe to wire them.

I need to get back to work on that Zuisho I bought from Julian!

You're right about the needles not being hardened off yet...pretty soft and pliant right now. This tree is years (and years:() away from being placed in a show and I need to work them when I have the time so I'm ok with a few bent or broken needles. I'm thinning as many of my pines and junipers as I can now so I can start wiring next month. Looking forward to seeing updates on the Zuisho.

As far as these tweezers go, I use them to pick food from my teeth so no worries:D.

It's 85 f and work is slow...and I just realized my San Jose has spider mites...ya! Actually, all my junipers have them but this can be the worst time of year for them. They all get a weekly spray of water to keep them at bay but I noticed this one was a slightly paler green then I'm used to and did the shake test...lots of mites this time. Time to spray twice a week I guess.View attachment 120663
I made the mistake of bringing a juniper inside to do some work, the day after I saw the spider mites on my tropicals!

I hate spider mites. I've dealt with them for 8 straight years after moving here to GA. I've given up on trying to eradicate them but instead on keeping their population on my junipers in check. Good luck with them, as they can suck a tree dry seemingly overnight...did I mention that I hate them.

I think I got them, as soon as they were spotted I took all trees outside to be sprayed. After that I spent too much time standing staring at my trees, trying to squish any little f**kers I saw! I think my lady and the kids thought I was losing it!

Yep, least favorite thing to do. Love, love LOVE wiring...despise taking it off.
Yeah, I need to unwire my "Broccoli" Juniper. Been putting it off...

After the Atlanta show, I need to unwire my JBP.

I put one of those hanging joints Frary was talking about by my tropicals...

Smell like a flea collar.

I know I had to have a few when I brought them in.

No explosion this year.
