Georgia had 10 Covid deaths yesterday... we are at 119 today and likely to go up before the day is through. Pushing 1950 deaths nationwide today...

I do think we could use a great president about now though.
The Arc de Triumph is nice and all, but the fishing is better near Mt Rushmore.

I wonder.. Not worth my time. But that one person slings so many insults out every single day. I would say in this thread alone he has posted more insults than most people do over the full stay on this forum. Somehow there is no normal way of conversing with him/her/it. I am pretty sure in a day to day encounter a different way of communicating would be used. Internet brings out the worst behaviour of people, especially people who have no content and feel they need to play "the big person".

Noteworthy flu season around 650k deaths worldwide. Not a fifth yet, but I wasn’t aware that coronavirus was done yet either. Wait til it gets a proper hold in India, Africa, Brazil etc. Lets check the numbers when this all blows over. I hope I’m wrong but....

Do you not understand the facts, the reasons why this is a big deal or are you just waiting until the numbers are awesome high enough to give a shit?

The basics. More virulent, more deaths in healthy individuals than flu (proportionally), more deaths in weaker individuals than flu (proportionally), no treatment (ventilators don't treat, they help with oxygen levels, managing your breathing until you beat it or die), no vaccine, no cure.

Left unmitigated this will kill people you know and care for. It still may. We slow the spread so as not to overwhelm the hospitals which are already at bursting point in lots of places. This really shouldn’t have to be explained.

Pay attention to Sweden. They dont give a damn about the boot-licking, cop calling, window peeking, curve flattening, hand-washing histrionics. They will be not be worse off than anywhere else. And their economy will shrug it off to boot, because their service sector employees will remain employed.

has public health care, Public higher education, public child care, an educated work force, and high taxes?
Isn’t Trumpism against all that?
How about one of the highest GDPs in Europe?
They can also put together a pretty good hockey team.
