He let me have this tree in 9/2013. It was transplanted and gone through some branch works. Its status is at this time. It has lot of flower buds!

I love the deadwood in the lower trunk! There is a scar from the branch removed few years ago (the arrow). I plan to do some work on it later on.

I use slow released chemical fertilizer Woodace 12-3-6 specialized for acid loving trees http://www.greenviewfertilizer.com/store/p/Woodace-Azalea-and-Evergreen-Fertilizer__22-56329.aspx
in the end of winter (once a year) and also use slow released organic fertilizer pellet in the end of winter and start of fall.

While working on the tamarix this morning, I decided to do a experiment.
As you might all know, the tamarix is very easy to propagate via cutting. I took 2 cuttings. Both of them will be placed into the water jar. One was placed in normal direction; one was placed upside down!
