It's 93 here! I put up shade cloth over my deciduous!
I don't have that kind of luxury! ;-)
Some of my ume in the 4" pot show dehydration in the end of the day. I will transplant them to 1 gallon pot soon.

The temp was up to 95 F around 6 pm !
The BRT has survival instinct in hot dry weather. Its leaves completely closed down to avoid dehydration.

The BRT 's leaves were open again this morning.

The twine used to stable the tree is still strong at this time. No need of using aluminum wire!

This is a JBP. It was in the 2010 Nanpu kai show by my teacher.

He let me have this tree in 9/2013. It was transplanted and gone through some branch works. Its status is at this time. It has lot of flower buds!

I love the deadwood in the lower trunk! There is a scar from the branch removed few years ago (the arrow). I plan to do some work on it later on.

While working on the tamarix this morning, I decided to do a experiment.
As you might all know, the tamarix is very easy to propagate via cutting. I took 2 cuttings. Both of them will be placed into the water jar. One was placed in normal direction; one was placed upside down!

Hi Markatulio,
Thanks for asking. Unfortunately this experiment was ended unexpectedly! At that time, I think cat or opossum topped them over and when I recognized, it was too late! Next time!

I had some of trident maple seedlings as a gift. They were in 4" square plastic pots. I transplanted them into the oval clay pot on 5/20/17. The pictures were taken this morning. The leaf color is not changed yet! May be it is too warm for it here.

Yesterday, I brought this big pomegranate out to do the 1st styling for it.
Before

I like this tree for his hollow trunk. I left a pruner to see how big the trunk is.
IMG_5808.jpg

It had a lot of branches

After removing all the branches except needed ones and cut them short

After wiring.

I fed it with slow release Woodace. Now, let it grow for another year!
