Or may any of these be a better angle?

Love the tree. Do you have more angles? The foliage is out of my reach and it’s like I’m wanting to engage with it but the branches and pads are on the other side of the tree and out of my reach. I also like the pot.

I also like the Jin you created. It looks clean and crisp but is also on the same plane as the branch and pads. They almost hide, but they’re really pretty and I want to see them! They could stand out and really show themselves off with some movement in wire, branches, pads, and angles. Some tweaks would really bring it to life ⭐

Did an emergency move all the trees inside at 9:40, because it got down to 16° F before bed. Had to tag some pots with a mallet to unhook them from the ground, but the soil underneath was still not frozen, so I hope things are alright. 🤞

Repotted my Dwarf Schefferella into a new pot! The exposed roots have been developing for almost 2 years wrapped in soil. So now I'll see how it goes. Lots of good roots below the exposed roots.

I went to my first Bonsai Society of the Carolinas (BSOC) meeting today. We met at Bella Bonsai and I got to meet everyone and talk trees a bit. I had a blast stomping through the woods looking for trees with potential. I came back with yet another American hornbeam. I also became a member of BSOC!

And… I finally got to get my bonsainut pins. Thank you @Sansokuu and @WavyGaby

I am so bummed. A big gust of wind blew over my maple and broke the pot it has been in for 18 years. Had to do some extensive root work cause I didn't have a pot close to the same size. I sure hope it survives the winter. So that is what I got to do today. Some weather coming in Friday and in the 20-30F for about a week. I usually leave all my plants outside to fend for themselves. Don't know about this one. All of my plants are from around my yard so the are acclimated to the weather. Should I do anything special after this root trimming?
Thanks for all of your input. I have moved all of my plants(10) into the garage. 41 deg in the garage and 15deg outside. It is suppose to be like this until Tuesday.
