Pretty Fly for a Bonsai Guy
It's getting pretty gnarly after 5 years of constant wiring. I'll see what I can capture on camera. That upper branch structure looks insane! Wish I could see from the inside out.

Let's see if this works...That upper branch structure looks insane! Wish I could see from the inside out.
Thanks B, feedback is always appreciated. This one has definitely been an exercise in patience, but seems to be maturing into a decent design direction. That upper-left side is problematic, but eventually I'll be able to reduce it more by carving and joining the Shari to the Jin. It should make all the difference. Even toyed with removing the foliage from that left branch completely, but it was too drastic... this seems to work for now.Sweet relief! The top left of the tree had an inverse taper and since the inception of this thread I've been hoping you'd do something drastic to alleviate the eye-sore. I'd never tell you how to style your trees! I like what you did with splitting the trunk and making it feel lighter up top. The pad separation makes the tree look massive! Always a good show. Thanks for sharing.

Of course. This was 2 growing seasons...nearly buried.are you leaving the wire on long enough? Are you letting it get to the degree where it's biting in?
I'm lost or doing something wrong. I can't even leave my wire on for six months before it's biting in. I thought it was not good to let it bite in?
Deliberate: http://bonsainut.com/index.php?threads/shimpaku-project.4389/#post-67673I don't like the shari (i think it suppost to be shari) on this pic > http://bonsainut.com/index.php?attachments/dsc02883-jpg.13393/
Is that shari or cuts / mistake?
