@tstrum For my area I need 50% or above, otherwise it won't do anything. I'm thinking you may need higher than 30%.

If it helps here is a post from Michael Hagedorn putting up a structure, at the end of the post is a pic of the 30% shade cloth and how much shade it provides. See if you think that's enough for what you want

Good call! 30 definitely won't do the trick

Yea, I was going to go w/ 30% as most places recommended it but when I saw his results I said NO WAY...... and I know you're not in FL but I know that OK gets sun damn near as strong in the summer.

Yep, our summers are scorching. But I have a large tree in my yard that blocks the sun from 2pm on so I am just looking at having something that would hedge the 12-2pm summer sun so it doesn't have to be too much just take the edge off those few hours.

I found this on Amazon, reviews were decent and it's a good price considering the size

EasyShade Black 40% Shade Cloth UV Resistant Fabric for Greenhouse 10ft x 20ft https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FMU5RHI/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_X4nazbQXN2ZBQ

I used Svennson Solaro shade cloth (got it through farmtek.com). Not only do you get the benefit of the shade, but the white reflective side also helps further reduce the temperature in the shaded area. I know it's more expensive, but my maples had less leaf burn last year than when I was using only black shade cloth.

Here is what I have done with shade cloth, my application is more for wind than shade but same difference...

That's a beautiful set up! Well done! Along with everything else, the pulley system is pretty sweet.

How/what are the table tops for the benches?
