Not worth anything to me. I hate beer and don't drink. But it seems everyone knows how big they are, and most guys like to drink buds and stair at the trees, wether in pots or the ground.

13 years of the x's drinking problem led to a split that left me in the dumps for a bit so bad I did not tend to my trees, then fell in love with my childhood friend who is now my wife and barely kept the one tree alive through the months of just staring at each other non stop.
Here is the one that made it, started from tissue culture over fifteen years ago!

That is a nice story...glad it all worked out in the end. By the way, I like your trident stump, though you're going to have to address the roots at some point. Judy's trident is anchored to the soil by that massive, spreading base, and that's what you want with heavy trunked trees.

Here is the monthly shot of the tree. Haven't done anything to it for the past month. But it's gotten very tall! Leaves are nice and healthy, they sure are easy about conditions compared to J. maples.

Yes the fall leaf color should be good this year. Should be in a few weeks, the early trees are starting now. Chris, these like full sun and I keep it watered well, although they can get by with less water than J.maples. Also as you know I use a continuous fertilizing regime, don't know if that's why or it's just a vigorous tree.

Yes, I have a backdrop, but no time to deploy! Very busy work week for me, long hours. Wanted to get the photo in before the months end to stay in keeping with the progression. Will take another when I have a chance.
