Aye,i hear you, they should go back to their flat-earth society.
My friend Bill and I can have a conversation about just anything, politics, world affairs, you name it. We're not bothering anybody, then some of you come to the bar with your opinions that weren't asked for in the first place and stir shit up, then you run around around calling us the trouble makers. I think you are your own worst enemy, stay out of the bar with your opinions and I will stay out of the Ficus forum, because I don't like tropicals, wouldn't want to upset the Ficus lovers, see how pleasent I can be.
Then, why don't you and your friend bill do all this via personal messages. Then no one can interrupt or comment upon your precious thoughts.
When you post those thoughts to a public forum it is a tacit invitation to others to join in.
So use PMs, or exchange e-mail addresses, and don't bother the rest of us.
Yeah, me for one. Not that I have game enough for that forum, but at least they seem to understand what the word respect is. I would miss it here, but even though I read very little of the offensive material, I don't know if I can view the posting persons in the same light as before I read the hate spewing pus that inhabits that dark place.
I think it's a form of exhibitionism...they thrive on public display of this stuff, and would probably stop posting altogether if everyone else stopped responding.
Come on bonsainut, pay attention to what is being written here! The majority of us find the bar distasteful at best, and it does drive people away from the forum. Get rid of it!

Interesting interpretation. Good that you don't like it there, as I don't think the crap you post (here) would be tolerated...and that's as it should be!I looked into IBC but it was for the most part a thinly veiled sanctimonious and condescending racism, make me wanna puke.
I still view those pages to see the brown nosing, the look at me's and the buy my products.
Yes there have been some "rough" exchanges and it's certainly not a perfect place (is there such a thing?). However, at least most of the exchanges are related to bonsai, not whether someone is a liberal or conservative. If you think the bar is the only place incoherent bonsai people yell at each other, then you're not well-acquainted with IBC...Not as overtly political there (except for bonsai politics), but there have been some pretty rough exchanges out in the open over there...doesn't happen often, but it happens...
What do you mean? IBC = Internet Bonsai Club, not International(e) Bonsai Club - if that's what you were getting at.Maybe they rightly acknowledge the Internationale is a thing of the past and there can be little use trying to attach Bonsai to it so as to attract support.
What say you?
Can someone translate? This is why no one responds to most of your posts.Socialists in their many genres to own Bonsai as an artform in the West?
