The culture and technique seem perfect. From an aesthetic point of view, I wonder if it would not gain from having the first branch on the right lower, to accentuate the asymmetry...
The tree goes left?

Candle-cutting yesterday. I left the lower branches mostly alone again this year to help extend and strengthen them.
This one is going to need about 2 days of work (at my pace) this winter to prune and wire it out.
