Cool!!Just got blasted with snow today. Significantly more than originally anticipated. Deciduous trees were already in garage but conifers stayed out. Seems like theyll need to come in too as we are slated to see teens this week. We had 70s as well last week!

Similar Fall skippage here too, lol. I know it's no reason to panic but I still have perennials that need to be cut back as well as plans for trees and a few other ambitious yard collections. Maybe it'll be in the 70s in December like last year, lol.We had weather in the _80s_ well into late October. then bam, a frost right after. It's like we skipped Fall completely here in Portland Oregon.

What is this “skiff” you speak of!? That looks like a dusting or squall to meJust a skiff here this morning. Teens in the forecast this weekend then near 50 and sunny next week.

Ha ha...What is this “skiff” you speak of!? That looks like a dusting or squall to me
A skiff is a small workboat, usually flat bottomed, also called a tender.
I love this colloquial stuff. I heard some folks in the PNW refer to a short bout of snow as a skiff as well so this isn’t the first time. We have some pretty oddball weather (and everything else) terms in Maine so I get it.
My favorite brand of skiff. BTW, they aren't too lightWhat is this “skiff” you speak of!? That looks like a dusting or squall to me

Admittedly I had to google double entendre then I got the pond joke that went over my head the first time
Admittedly I was torn between that comment or “ your boat seems a little big for your pond“. In the end I figured you can’t go wrong with a little double entendre in the most wholesome way
