Alright, this guy wasn't affected by the cold this year. I love the color. I'll enjoy the flowers then get to pruning and de-wiring were needed. Hoping to get some good growth this year again.View attachment 431795View attachment 431797

Mid summer update. Lots of good growth, did some pruning and wiring. Now I'll let It grow for a while. One picture is before the trim.

Ah I see it was completely bald in 2020, and then didn't look so hot at first. Great job.

Late summer early fall update. Filling out nicely and have no complaints. Should get a nice bloom next spring.

Well my azaleas took a hit this winter, I'll be doing a little bit more to protect them next winter. But the Hino is strong and gave me a good floral display. Need to work on more height this year.

So I've got a good flush of growth this year and I think I'll let it go until next year. Lot's of spider friends on everything helping keep the pests down. I should have quite the show of blooms next year.

Took off some wire that was cutting in and did a little light pruning. It's very dense but that should give me a good display next year. It's got a general "C" shape, which is what I was going for. Before pic included.

Well I guess these are the final photos of my entry. She survived winter and my move, and still gave me a nice bloom. Was going for a crashing wave but ended up with a small swell. I'll be pruning back after the flowers and taking a bunch of cuttings. It's been fun to watch this girl develop from a stick to a blooming beauty.
