If I were you, I would remove ALL the branches around the wound except for the apex. BCs swell quite a bit while healing the wound. If you have any branches there, you are practically guaranteed to have reverse taper.I had to move the big one out of the way to get my philipinesis out of the ground so I took a quick picture. I have had to re-chop several BCs because of reverse taper right at the chop sites. Every time I left an additional branch in the chop are, I got reverse taper.About a month ago I removed 8-10 branches in that area. I will reassess the ones I left behind.
