I found these tiny black bugs at the bottom of two bonsai trees. Used insecticide at least 6 times now. But still can't kill all of them. They keep coming back.

I put a saucer under a bonsai. When I move the bonsai, I always see the black bugs on the saucer.

Can anyone identify what the bug is and how can I kill it? Thank you. Sorry about the photo. The bug is sooo tiny. It is hard to get a clear photo.

What species of trees are they on? Are they on the tree or just under the saucer? Indoor tree or outdoor? What insecticide? I've seen thrips that small but I can't make anything out of the pics posted. Most pests are on the tree. :)

Not enough detail in the photo to make a good ID on those little black dots.
They could be mites. Take a really close look and count the legs. 6 legs is insect and can be killed by insecticide. 8 legs is mite and most mites are not killed by most insecticides. You'll need to get a specific miticide to kill them.
Before you rush out to use even more chemicals you should ask whether these bugs are doing any harm. Some mites do eat plants but many mites are actually predators and kill other bugs for you.
