Spring? Teaser?
Spent the last 2 days in shorts digging evergreen trees outa storage, cleaning out the pond and yard. 70s and sunny:)

This was actually last night, but it should count. I was recently selling off my Princess Persimmon seedlings. I noticed lately that a few buds were beginning to extend. I may could’ve shipped, but decided instead to plant them. I’ve got ~90 3-4 year old seedlings so instead of planting these individually and waiting on them to mature and flower, I figured I’d make forests. The roots on these required cutting back, especially if I’m going to use them in a first. I suspect I’ll lose some as a result of the harsh root treatment.

The ones in the Koyo are from a tree that produced black fruit. The unglazed pot houses seedlings from a tree that made oblong red fruit.

Very nice little forests. All but one of the seedlings I got from you is leafing out. Thank you again!

Today I repotted my Crape Myrtle. This is a tree that I have had for at least 20 years. It has been neglected and ignored maybe the last 5 years. What do you guys think of it? Here are some before and after pictures. Any ideas or opinions to help me take this tree to next level are welcomed.

Are they juniper as well
and were these kept indoors as well?
The humidity trays can work against the health of your roots
especially this time of year.
no they are not Junipers. Ficus, Jade. The Junipers are kept outdoors year round. Thanks for the tip on the humidity trays.
