Hi there, i was wondering what do you all use to water your trees

Id like to know for inspiration im building my own lance with soraying head Heres what i came up with :

Pic 1: the lance with valve made from copper and brass

Pic 2: the head its to big so theres to little pressure gotta get smaller ones this is 7 cm in diameters going to get 3 cm wich will be better!

Pic 3: misting nozzle wich fits the lance ajustable to rain function wich makes watering trees works fine another twist at the head and you have a water beam to clean bark with and blast mites and other bugs out :)

Hose and lawn spinkler with automatic timer. If I want to water by hand, I use a 3 foot wand from Home Depot or Lowes

Dang Judy, you don't mess around. Nice

I had a cheap watering wand, my kids broke it. I had a haws watering can, the holes constantly clogged up. For now I use my cheapo run of the mill plastic watering can from home depot. Works wonderful.

I have "got to get me one of those"!

I use the Japanese copper watering can partially pictured in this photo. Works extremely well and is adequate for the number of trees I currently have (so far). Paid about $230 for it but I anticipate it will last a lifetime if it does not become so badly dinged up in the long term that it cannot properly funnel water to the spout. I do see having to replace the mostly copper fine rose detachable nozzle at some point, but that hopefully will not be more than $30-$40 when it finally corrodes badly enough.

Lastly, this watering can holds four liters of water.

That's nice work defra. Very nice work. It should last a couple of lifetimes. unlike the crap you buy off the shelf. You should think about marketing them. Are those fittings on the ends of the copper pipe pressed or soldered?

When I was in Orlando, I used the Masakuni spray nozzle that attaches onto a regular garden hose and I strongly recommend this as well. You get what you pay for, and I think I paid like $28-$35, not too bad.

Thats the reason i am building this one i broke three of the shelf wands last year
If people in the netherlands are interested i am making a couple and they will be for sale :)

Thnx for letting me know all

Lotta bloody cockroaches!

..............

Anyway.....

I have been using water bottles....

The V8 juice bottles are the longest lasting....
Going on 3 years with one....and it still is perfectly intact....spent winter outside too!

However....

Using only low (pressure) rain barrels...
I want to run a hose over to my benches with a foot controlled kick spigot, and use a long neck watering can, so I don't have to bend over!

Thinking Haws, or Japanese copper.....

Looking for thoughts....

I need one that I can safely hold from the neck to fill up.

Sorce

P.s. your rig is dope!
