Team Albizia Julibrissin

less than 12 hours later of my main growers. It amazes me to think how fast these guys grow. Like cells have to be multiplying and dividing over time in order to form these stems, leaves, etc. Thinking about the process and how it gets to this point intrigues me, and I don’t even like science as a school subject

Looking good.
I soaked my 10 seeds yesterday in hot water and 3 imbued water and swelled without nicking seed coat. They are planted in a single pot together now with dreams of being trees.
The other seven seeds will be nicked with nail clippers tonight.

Let’s go man!

Current observations:
I planted 6 in regular potting soil with crushed pumice and 3 in seedling soil.
Among the 6 planted in regular potting soil, only one did not germinate.
Among the 3 planted in seedling potting soil, one is growing healthily and two are not looking so well.*

* The three planted in seedling soil were left in water for about 36ish hours due to the lack of swelling.

I wonder if over soaking them caused this issue or just bad luck?

I would say if you have 6 out of nine looking good that is good luck, not bad. If the three in question survive consider it a bonus.

Still waiting for my seeds. At least I get to watch my Ironwood/leopard trees grow in the meantime. It’s looking like 4/8 so far. 2/10 seeds were floaters which I planted anyway but didn’t take.

Darn that stinks. At least 4 are looking good!
