Shohin bald cypress...

I really like too. I foresee a weeping willow styling to it. The B.C. Leaf characteristics could mimic the willow leaves in scale. I am not sure how easy it would be to keep the style in practice however.

lol...nope. Never my friend. These are some photos my friend took of Bald Cypress in nature. Many have much character...not just a tapered trunk that is straight. It will never be weeping. It would ruin the trunk line by hiding it. I will embrace a canopy more realistic to the species.

The one that looks like a sea serpent just blows my mind.

I like the shohin. I'd need photographs of weirdness to justify doing anything like this down here. Great work keeping it in style.

I completely forgot about this one, it’s very nice in leaf. Do you keep yours in water all summer? I’m debating doing that, they don’t seem to mind either way.

Yes, it's in water all summer. True not needed. The previous owner didn't offer it. But...I notice a more happy tree. Foliage stays happier. I need to clean the base...but that's easy. A recent cut back,to style it with more movement was done not long ago. So I am much happier with the direction it's heading.

Cramming the little guy into the shohin pot yet giving it an old tortured style? Brilliant execution!

I'm glad to see this tree again. Very nice.

Thanks!
The trunk came that way when I bought it...along with the pot. The top...I decided to revamp. Such a small tree and movement in trunk...needed it to be going to the same dance. Cutting off main branches that were to straight...gets easier when you have a direction.

What they said and I love the moss frog accent too.
Thanks...one thing I have never regretted this purchase of the BC. I was in it like a dog with a bone.

As for the frog accent pot. One of my favs...so thanks again. Seen another not quite like mine sell on auction and was glad mine had a buy it now option when I found mine. Once I decided how to plant it out. I knew it had to come home.

Does applying vinegar to a toothbrush and scrubbing the moss-affected area really work? Because if so, I should use that technique.
