Beautiful colors! I wish mine would do that. My BC leaves mostly go from green to dark brown.Just a link to Instagram...for a fall snippet of the BC.

Ahhh it's got to be my northern climate... just as we see fall colors on all our deciduous. It's special to witness. Sorry to hear you don't get to witness it.Beautiful colors! I wish mine would do that. My BC leaves mostly go from green to dark brown.![]()
Do you protect your BC at all in your zone? I normally don't protect mine at all here in central TX and get great color... but this last growing season they have been in shade all year and the leaves are doing exactly what yours do. Going from green straight to brown.I wish mine would do that. My BC leaves mostly go from green to dark brown.![]()
I do protect from the harshest of elements. But permit light frost. I'm a zone 4. I'm moving it in with the rest when I see hard freezes. My wintering environment is set to 32F. So I don't see having them hit harder on my bench. Exception is my Thuja rock planting. It's out there a long while getting in chill Temps colder than I permit in the cold greenhouse .Looking great @Cadillactaste, one day I will try to make a shohin BC for sure.

Mine are turning brown from green this year because of lack of sun light, the picture posted were from 2022 when they were growing under full sun the entire year.Yours are MUCH more colorful than mine. Thank ya kindly... for me I think weeping makes it the easiest style to keep maintained...as in height. You're taking everything downward.Well done @Cadillactaste
Looks like it has kept its size well as a shohin. I've been curious how hard it is to keep a BC reeled in as a shohin.
Thank ya kindly.Little tree with a lot of character.
What an amazing tree! And the the pot! Bald Cypress grow wild all around where I live, and I'm thinking about buying one, nothing near this level thoughA slight turn of the pot left side/front

Awww thanks ya kindly for such kind words. It was you...who encouraged me to do better with taking photos. Do you remember that? That my trees had moved up in level. And to show them better. As well as creating a lovely image with this tree, I gotta give you props for doing such a great job with your photo skills. You’ve made such beautiful images for your trees, it is a skill I just don’t have, but wish I did.
They are an amazing species. I checked your profile. You should very much play around with them. They are in your backyard darn near. What an amazing tree! And the the pot! Bald Cypress grow wild all around where I live, and I'm thinking about buying one, nothing near this level though
