Sorry to hear about your loss Carol. Have two dogs... they are still young but I'm aware their lives are much shorter than ours. Hope your pain goes away soon.

It's rough losing those furry family members. I had a tough few years where I lost or had to put down 3 cats and a dog. We had them all since they were kittens and a pup. They were all between 13-17 years old and spent their whole lives with us. The house still feels empty but I can't bring myself to live with more animals yet. I still get teary looking at old pictures, it's not only sadness at this point though. Remembering the time we spent together still makes me happy, I just wish we had more time together. Totally not tearing up writing this.

I know Miss Kitty had a wonderful life with you, and I know she left pawprints on your heart.
My wife and I have taken in over 20 stray and rescue cats over the past 30+ years and every one was a genuine treasure.

I have had dogs I’m my life, first one in 1968, It never gets easier to say good by, right now my buddy is 16 years old , I can tell you the joy they provide is worth the temporary pain, all we can do is give our friends a great life wile they are here, my eye are sweating, got to go
