You can get kintsugi kits here, but they are very expensive. I just used a 5 minute two part epoxy, and mixed gold mica powder into the glue. The hardest part is keeping it still for that 5 minutes!

Just seeing this - pretty nice looking repair job! How did you do this - did you put all the pieces together at once, or one/a few at a time? I've had to repair a few pots that were damaged in shipping (it amazes me how poorly some potters pack their stuff, but they only get one shot at it. I won't buy again from them) and I've also used the 2 part epoxy but I've done the repair in a few steps rather than all at once. Unfortunately, it seems when pots are poorly packed/shipped the jostling turns some of the pieces into dust and they never go back together perfectly.

Yessir. I can even send you to the page to make the glaze yourself. Hahaha or I can do it for you. The president of the Asheville bonsai club scored the only one ive made so far with this glaze. But I'm working on tweaking it and using it in conjunction with browns

Well made pots with quality clay will certainly outlast all of us if they're properly cared for. Just look at all the antique pots floating around out there. I think the key is to find pots with solid construction. Normally you get what you pay for in terms of quality.

Nice! I'm ashamed to say I didn't recognize that pot as his work. You don't see many of his purple pieces floating around. I love the low profile coupled with that glaze.

Awesome. I already have a tree for it, a Grewia (lavender star flower). When I got it, it was in an awful black pot. I wanted to let it grow for a year, before repotting, so next spring/summer.

It took me probably 5 sittings to get it done, as you have to really wait 24 hours for it to set enough to add more pieces to the puzzle. So I did all the small ones first then did the larger pieces.
