One of my favorite pots

@Carkybones I ordered online through Yukimono store. They have a constant supply of certain Emei pots and then they have other pots that seem to be more limited. I think there's two more pots of different shapes with similar glaze.

me likey... potter?
My friend Ron Heinen made it. He’s a retired art & ceramics teacher, award-winning artist, and we have been torturing trees together for 25 years. Over the last year he has been making pots, all slab-built. A few have shown up on FB auctions. Really nice pots.
These three are his:

Found this on Etsy two days ago. I couldn't resist so it's on its way to me... Jon Burgess of Kilnery Bonsai, UK. The glaze details are amazing. The pics come from Etsy.

Very nice glaze. The glaze provides many varied color combinations to pick up and use with a tree. The colors are quietly natural and in good harmony with nature. Great find by you!

My favorite pot, just "resurfaced", I had not looked at it in years. I had wrapped it well and put it away. I bought it in 1989, maybe, spent $175 on it, back then that was a fortune to me. I liked the feel of it. It is unglazed but burnished to a satin smooth finish that is just a delight to touch. I never got around to looking up the signature. Does anyone recognize the maker?

I originally was going to put an azalea in it, later realized azaleas really are easier to grow in deeper pots, so this pot has never had a tree in it. Yet. Maybe someday.

That looks like Bigei's signature.
