The low branch on this oak behind my house is nearly thick as the trunk and probably 25ft long or better. Photo taken last winter.

Certainly not, "like a giant bonsai," since they're both under 3 feet tall, so I'm sharing here.
Took a hike with the dog this morning, and came across these piñons, both growing out of different ends of the same rock.
Beautiful trunks, but it'd take an hour or two with a jackhammer, or a few minutes with high explosives to release the roots.
I ain't dragging a jackhammer up that slope.
