No mail delivery, snow

Still wondering what happened to that Barbados cherry a few years ago. Thing was declared delivered at my workplace, but nowhere to be found. Just disappeared. I checked every PO in the city, and half the places in the building, and nothing.
I know, that still blows my mind. What happened to it? Anyway, latest check, your package is in Colorado and is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. 🤞

wonder if USPS got a new union or something.
No new union but somethings certainly going on.
Our pastor got amazon by PO between 9:30 - 10pm one night recently, so late delivery still occurring.
Huntington sent a new rural carrier out 4th day
on the job, up Mt Union ridge with bald tires in
this snow. Then over the hill on flat bottom land
(different route same zip code) local news interviewed an elderly gentleman who hadn't rcvd mail delivery for 12 days.

Newcomers quit at least at 80% here.
Maybe 1 in 5 stay on, and that's mostly due to management saying sink or swim with little training and little help.

I don't miss a day of it. I started delivering out of a 1976 Cougar in 1985. Twice in my 37 yrs was mail delivery curtailed. The 2nd time was AFTER I had finished my route in a blizzard. Then they sent me back out to round up city carriers.

I think this explains the problems with people not wanting to work any more now days. Somehow the standard in organizational leadership has turned into no actual leadership going on. I know horror stories like that have kept me out of allot of these traditional career fields. I can't make myself work for people who won't work for the team themselves.

Yay!! That shouldn't affect the seeds.
So, I put them in the fridge while waiting for that deep freeze to end so we could get to soil and such. Went to pull them out so I could start picking through them for seeds, and discover they're missing!

I start asking the kids, and my 6yo son tells me he took them to school one day for snack time.🤦
🤭

I suppose there's worse ways for some kinzu to end.

snowed 2 inches Monday night. Still waiting...it's Thursday now.
No mail for the foreseeable future. However it is supposed to warm up to 50ºF next week.
We got 17 letters nothing else Monday, mostly 1st class bills.
Wonder where in the world they've been sitting, and when they'll
process the junk mail we didn't get.
I can visualize the trump musk love connection privatizing it.
Then what happens to my retirement?

My bad, I'm deep under the weather.
Monday was Presidents Day so it was Saturday since we had mail lol.
I received a jury duty notice on February 5th that was mailed on 12/31/24 from a town 15 miles away.
I've seen a lot worse, so no surprise sadly.
I live in the city so USPS parks and trudged through on foot in the snow during a blizzard. We must have tougher mail carriers in Milwaukee.
I delivered through a couple blizzards here. One I remember I went out rounding up city carriers
to curtail their routes after I finished mine in the rural hills. At least I had my own vehicle. I think that was '94
The PO does not equip us with capable vehicles or tires anymore. The Mercedes vans get stuck on wet grass.
Have to admire those that actually do their jobs. We can't keep carriers with little training, and high expectations.
Not the same place it used to be. I don't miss a drop of it after 37 yrs.
I just complain about the low quality service it has become...in our district anyway.
