There is a lot of stuff on YouTube that should not be there or paied attention to but it is there none the less. You don't have to watch it all or you can binge watch all of it. There is at least one "professional" grower enjoys bar branches and style that is boring and tastless. He does have good ideas about growing material. So if you don't like Nigle I bet he does not like you much either way what does it matter. He is not a fraud or a fake..

You know I might go check this Nigel out some time. Seems like a popular guy.

I know one thing though. I will NEVER watch Bravura's channel. Too arrogant for my taste and I wont watch anyone who goes so far as to sign up on a bonsai forums with the express purpose to slander another bonsai person whom he apparently feels threatened by. Otherwise he would have gone to such great lengths to drag Nigel through the mud.

Funny thing though, he dragged himself through the mud even worse.

That’s what I still don’t get...

I, also, have JM cuttings I rooted by “hap-hazardly” sticking them in dirt... (So i’ve already, accidentally accomplished what the OP set out to do. As many others accidentally have)

I have MUCH better results rooting ANY cuttings using a bag, rooting hormone (applies correctly) and extended daylight.. (if possible)....

It’s like.. a lazy person making “shortcut” maps to food stands...

Cuttings procedure is fairly straight-forward.. there are several laws of nature, and one or two laws of physics you are struggling against... but given the “dice roll” of indomitable tree genetics.. you can even “get them to” root in ABSOLUTELY non-adventitious conditions...

But why??? Less work and more success JUST by NOT being lazy from the get-go...
