At 29:50 he does a current bench walk through. Has some nice stuff.
For sexy steel bike aficionados, he shows off an 80s era team 7/11 Eddie Merckx road bike. Full period shimano durace components. Likely a 3k bike in the 1980s.
Just as beautful as a 100 year old pine IMHO.

What is this for really??? I know where to find his videos

I learned what I need to from Nigel as a beginner but once I got a few of my own trees and some experience repotting I just felt I could do better on my own and didn't like his style of clip and grow. I've also moved on from his preferred mix of safe t sorb, perlite, and pine bark to akadama, lava, pumice, and kiriyu. I hypnotized how many quality trees I could wire in the time he's spent on clip and grow and I decided I'd learned enough from his vids. he's canadian I don't think it's an act that's just how our northern neighbors are. Good guy just kinda cringe worthy vids

Most relatable comment yet. His clip and grow is a crutch for lack of inspiration. He has been clipping and growing for years without results its always "that comes later" or "ill work on that in the future" and he just cuts trees back and lets them grow. Thats take 30years for anything to develop i dont have 30years to spend learning something or watching someone do something. I dont think he understands youtube. Its not a platform for him to upload anything he wants, he isnt a 16year old girl. Hes a man. Men are expected to do something, and something impressive and worthwhile

Yeah man, weird as hell lol.

I mean, a guy who knows little about growing plants talking trash about a guy who been growing plants for awhile. Clipping and growing might not apply to all applications but at least he's doing his things.

Not sure if you mentioned it but he don't tie his trees to pots either. But hey, his trees lives.

I watch him from time to time. Not a huge fan, but he seems like an alright guy. He's doing bonsai his way, for his own pleasure. If you want to watch, you have to click on the video. Don't want to watch, don't click. Pretty simple. Not every bonsai practitioner wants to have world-class bonsai nor should he. Some of the comments remind me of wine snobs. I had a guy tell me one time that you are "supposed" to drink drier and drier wine until you , I guess, reach some pinnacle of dryness. Ya, sure.
