My year around bonsai work in the Inland Empire, CA

I was going to post and say "this one I like the most"...... but then I was no so sure.... which one do I like the best?
I love the three of them!
I hope to be able to train my tamarix following the way you have shown to us.
Thanks my Nellie. I hope I could help you more !

One question please, if I may...
... ...Thụ Thoại means “conversation with the tree”.
If one is to address you with your artistic name, one should use both words.
Is this correct?

Is there anyone here using Epsom salt for plant? Epsom salt in gardening is not new. It has been a secret for years.
I have been using it since 8/2017 for one of my experiments. Recently I decided to give it a try one some of my plants through foliar sprays.

Yes! I’ve used epsom salts since about 2014 with my tomato plants. I’ve been using them with bonsai since 2016.

This works as promised: magnesium and calcium are made available to the plant.

Thanks for asking my nellie.
Yes, one should use both words, otherwise it is meaningless ?

Thu = big ancient trees like Cay co thu?
Thoai = Conversation like dam thoai?
Hope I got that right. ?

Thụ = cây
Cổ = già ( Vietnamese), old or antique ( English)
Cổ thụ = cây già
If you say “ cây cổ thụ”, ít means you is using redundant word!?

Hi Bonhe,

Where did you buy Woodace 12.3.6? I try to buy online but it can not ship to California. I can't find it in the Bay Area.

Thanks

It used to be sold in CA but no more! I bought it from this company in 2009 https://www.advancedturf.com/product/woodace-acre-12-3-6/
I think it cost $25, with shipping would be $ 50.
If they don't sell to CA resident any more, you may ask someone living in other states to buy it for you.
Good luck

Thank you, appreciate for your info Mr. Bonhe.

I am thinking of using this as a background for bonsai display :)

I can only say that I love this innovative idea of yours, Thụ Thoại.
May I ask which is the tree to be displayed with the couple of cranes?
I am also wondering where is the tree to be placed compared to the birds?
Will there be some kind of a frame to enclose/surround the composition?

Hi my Nellie,
Thank you.
I would use the black pine bunjin and place it in the center of these cranes without frame .

This is 30 years old Juniperus procumbens nana grown from the cutting.

After pruning, wiring. Like I wrote in other post created by MichaelS, I heavily wired it at this time. In the future, the clip and grown method will be used primarily.

@bonhe I really wonder what/how was at the very beginning that cutting
Also how many years is this tree into the same container?
This is amazing really and it justifies absolutely @Anthony promoting the use of cuttings :D

My teacher told me that this tree in this current pot for almost 20 years, with the fact of the Juniperus procumbens nana grows slowly. Patience, patience and patience is a must in this art!

Could we have a full view of the pond, please Thụ Thoại? :)
Looks beautiful with the floating big round leaves.
Correction : leaves of lotus are not floating, aren't they?
