My ..um...display area. Yeah that's it.

What's that round thing that has the words "dish HD" on it? I figure it must be some sort of bonsai growth enhancer.

Looks like it's hanging on for dear life doesn't it? I never noticed before. I'll need to address that tonight.

Definitely a good start. I'm envious of all your flat, open, sunny space. My only recommendation is to get some of them higher up. As it is now, when you walk around you're looking at the top of your trees. Getting them up a few feet will improve the way they look and will also allow you to see them from a better angle as you observe them & plan the next steps. I'm not sure how that works with buckets, but with cmu blocks (my cheap support of choice) you just add another couple of blocks at each spot.

He lives in Mio Michigan, population 2,016. Very few will probably ever see them. If he's happy and the plants are healthy (which they appear to be) then that's all that matters. :)

Are you a short fella Mike? While the trees are nice, the stands seem inconveniently low. Do you have a high bench somewhere to work them on, or are you so stooped from attending those trees that you have a permanent bend to your posture?

I bet it's nice to walk the rows and see the trees. My setup is similar (2x8s on cindeblocks) but I have two rows right by each other. They're all on my back porch because it's the closest sunny spot near the hose.

Definitely a good start.
It looked like this at my other house. It isn't a start. When I was in 20s this is the set up I had. Oh no. This is the finished product.
functional, no clutter.

It is very functional. No need to ever turn a pot to see the back of a tree.

That many huh? Boy ,the place is growing! I live down a dead end road. The only people to see them are the 8 houses past me. That view is from the road.

6'2" or so. That's funny. I was 5'8" tall and weighed 177lbs. in 5th grade. I do have a tall work bench though and a couple bar stools to sit on.

It sure is. Every night after work. Watering trees and squirting my puppy. The highlight of my day.

Mike, I really do hope that "squirting my puppy" means that you are spraying the dog with a garden hose...

Of course. My post wasn't meant as an insult and I'm certainly not trying to tell Mike what to do. It was just a suggestion. Very few people will see my trees, but they looked better to me after I raised them up a bit.

I raised them up a bit.
I would need to bring them up a couple feet. Stacking buckets and cinder blocks will make the whole mess kind of precariously balanced.
I've said it before. I am cheap. For me it's all about trees. Hell,if I ever get one to show quality I'll need to borrow a stand and whatever else I need for display.
One thing my benches have going for them is they don't detract the beauty of my trees. At all.
I started this thread to bring a little levity into our forum.
