My Green House

Yes. Mulch and snow

Would mulch and snow accomplish the same thing?

Joe

In my experience, yes...mulch and snow accomplish the same if not better. And, the bonus is that nature provides a proper dormancy climate and air circulation. If I think a tree is really sensitive to cold winds (I'm in Michigan where it is very cold in the winter) I cover up higher with the mulch which is usually oak leaves.

I'm listening to everyone. I just thought this was a good way to store them while not having a garage (apartment). I will take them out

Hey, try not to take anything negativly, trust me I am new to this too. I grew up in an all Greek family where all I did was listen to "criticism" by my parents/grandparents because they were older and more experienced. Looking back they were right 99 percent of the time haha. All we can do is listen and learn.

No problem with asking. That is how we learn. If you look at my response it was really a question.

Just keep on asking, reading and most importantly learning. Many of the people here, including myself, have made mistakes before.

I became interested in mugo pine after reading Vance's posts.
