MY GARDEN, SHARE YOURS

Just finished the pergola with 50% shading. Yesterday, we had +30°C, today around 33°C. Just on time, shading will relieve some temperature pressure on trees. I need to make a lot of tweaking and change trees display, but for now, it works as we are heading for the summer.

Got the tops of the monkey poles attached yesterday. Stain coming up in about a month
Everything looking so good Ryan! Only suggestion I’d make if you still need to build out more structures is to stain the wood first then build. It’ll save you time and hassle.

Thanks Danny! I'll probably do that for the rest of the monkey poles I'm adding

Have you seen any big differences between staining fresh/green PT pine vs waiting until it dries?

If the pieces are soaking there will def be a difference in stain penetration. But it won’t be a huge difference. As long as you hit the desired color I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

I love the trees! The way you have laid out the garden is very serene...

Danny, for the big stuff mostly oaks, maples and hornbeams. Around my area of northern NJ the forests are mostly comprised of deciduous species.
Hey Sergio, any issues with squirrels or other animal pests? The tree line behind you looks like prime habitat.
