Mame contest idea

Well, time to revive the thread with a winter update. The berberis is alive and well. RIP japanese quince.
Trimmed my surviving entry and did some branch selection. Also established the front and the planting angle. Made a pot for it in potery class two weeks ago and painted it. I'll get the result in the morning.

Nice dude you are setting the bar high! @sorce its dope
Thank you @defra :).
Got the pot today. Not the prettiest or the most skilful but given that it's my first try and it didn't explode in the kiln, i'll call it a moderate success. If I can't manage to make anything more suitable20171228_212158.jpg 20171228_212210.jpg , I'll use this one.

Looks good !

My quince is showing the flower buds !
Ilex looks ok too and what was my third again? Lol

My little bougie dropped all of it's leaves, the first week it was inside. But it's recovering nicely. The star flower, didn't even blink, when brought in. So far, so good.

Thanks @Mihai
Yes, they grew well and I am satisfied.
The bougie has a distinctively "feminine" trunk/body. Hips, waist, bust :)
Inverse taper this is but... never mind :p

Well I've seen quite a few bougies with carved trunks that look good; so that's a possible way to get it on the acceptable taper route...
If that fails, you can always try to turn it into a swimsuit model with curves like that :)).
The leaves look super healthy though

Was going to say maybe a nip n tuck is in order, a bit of pin carving :)

My three entrys are doing fine, asleep on the bench waiting for spring.

Yes, indeed!
And note that it kept growing almost until now. Very good warm weather. It has even formed two tiny colored bracts onto one branch!

Was wondering where you were from to get that kind of weather. Greece explains it :).
Stop posting good trees or you'll depress my underwhelming berberis and make the bastard not wake up in spring :))).
Just kidding. Great work!

My V Creeper is frozen in the ground pot and all under snow in single digit temps. My Serissa is doing well in the South window. The Willow leaf Fig keeps trying to die. Second time it's lost its leaves after a pest invasion but, it's showing another round of leaves I think/hope.
I'll get some pics tomorrow.
