Juniperus horizontalis "blue rug" advice

I have one that I tormented last year. It wanted to die earlier this year, but it hasn't given up the ghost yet. It's in the ground now recovering and getting ferts.

I can't say that I've done much with mine yet but I have seen some pictures of these made into nice trees.

I'm jealous man. We're in the process of trying to buy a house and the boss said no more trees til we move.
