Is it true that junipers respond well when worked in August?

I've heard spring and fall are good for juniper work. I'd think August might still be a little warm yet.

I can only speak for Junipers in the Chinese genre; they respond well except when frozen solid. I suppose temperatures in excess of 100 degrees F. might create a problem but most of the growing season they are fair game. Other Junipers that are not Juniperus Chinensis blah blah etc. may not be so forgiving.

Thanks Vance for that info. I was thinking of/talking about Chinese junipers when I posted but forgot to mention it.
