It WAS a nice tree....

I was working this Willow Leaf when my wife comes outside and goes "Well it WAS a nice tree..."

To be fair, she didn't fully understand the idea behind trimming plants and that whole process. I did do some crazy trimming on this tree though, so it's understandable.

Now I need to figure out if I want to go with the right leader or the left, which would get cut down considerably.


Any thoughts?

Hey Ryan, the right one has better angle off the trunk and the left one is so straight and abrupt, I’d go with the right one. The center one should probably go too, unless that is the one you are calling the left one. That one would be fine if you cut it back as it’s too straight at this point. Good to see you again.

Normally I'd agree with you. But since this tree was actively growing and healthy I worked on it anyways. I don't look at it in terms of the time of year, but rather whether the tree is healthy and pushing new growth.

I'll be working my willow leaf in a few days as well, when I bring it in for the cold months.
