I have a blue rug juniper I repotted in late spring maybe a big mistake

anyway I have it in boons mix and it is a blue rug juniper I bought for 10 bucks I have been wanting to make a cascade one and it is in a really tall pot in the boons mix and I have been watering it twice a day and cannot figure out it feels dry when I water it and it is still turning brown by the way I just put out my other junipers outside but this one I have not yet because of its ailment I thought in taller pots it would need less water but the opposite seems true any ideas would help!!!

Possibly 2 mistakes? Junipers do not like being inside. Keeping it inside will not help cure the ailment. It will more likely contribute to the decline.
