How can I save this beautyberry?

I’ve recently bought this Japanese beautyberry online. It came in just a little brown but as expected. After a week or two it has been loosing leafs . I really want this to stay alive . Should I chop it for more leafs or is it too late?

It's probably just in shock from the change in environment. I had a trident thst I ordered from down South sulk a few weeks until it adjusted to its new surroundings.

As stated above, just leave it be for now
