Yep socialism works great for dictators. It's actually sad it (socialism) never really got a fair go. With the right people and system driving it, it has the potential to be Etopian...IMHO

The people who till the ground, cut the trees, make the clothes, sell the groceries, play the musical instruments, sell the beer, make the beer-----in other words make and do stuff the causes an economy,----in other words YOU.

That is the sack of poop people have been believing for years: It is because the right people are not engaged in employing it. Dictators are the product of socialism not the cause of it. Socialisms do not survive without dictators because it takes that philosophical tool of political force backed up through the barrel of a gun. A free people will not work at tne maximum just to give away a large portion of the yield unless forced to by government at the point of a gun or some other coercive device. In short no one wants to work their butts off, see a large portion of the product of their labor given to someone who does not work; be they government or lazy poop shoots.

himo might simple have been reading it as Alaine/Elaine variations that are a feminine name more common in the US.
I feel I should point out that there is this confusion across many cultures. For example Simone and Andrea are male names in Italy but primarily female names with the exact same spelling in Germany.

What you have described there though is a system that doesn’t work because it has not been approached in the correct way.

If society were to carry on as it is now, but instead society is taxed based on amount earned incrementally then the coffers would be full. What is the maximum tax bracket in the US currently? Actually, I just looked it up. 37% if you earn over $518,000 so that’s the same if you earn half a million or 5 billion, yes? That’s only geared towards incentivising greed. You could even reduce the tax rate at half a million, but by taxing up to say, 70, 80, 90% for the highest earners then that wealth gets distributed more evenly. Maybe even introducing a ceiling where by you can earn what ever you up to X and the rest is taken as tax. If corporations were taxed properly as well, then profit wouldn’t be king either. A higher quality of product would be prioritised instead of gigantic margins.

It’s about changing perceptions and values, not governing through oppression. It’s about improving the lives of the lowest in our societies, keeping an even keel for the affluent middle and bringing down and reducing power for the richest. It’s not about state handouts for quotas etc or other nonsense.

it seems that way, i hear you - but socialism always renders down to rotting the soul and drowning inspiration/motivation; even if implemented to your liking, its fundamentally evil on a personal level (ironically)

Greedy is what you are. Coveting the fruits of other people's labor is evil. The only sure thing is when you tax something, you get less of it. Lazy, jealous people always have some system to take from the productive people and give to the unproductive people to make up for the lack of effort of lazy people. You are entitled to what you earn, and nothing more.

The person working all hours so you can buy their food and getting minimum wage for it or the poor sucker who has to clean truck stop toilets to feed their families are the ones who benefit. I don’t. I wouldn’t. If you actually read what the fuck I’m talking about for one second and decided to think about it instead of jumping in to turn it around on me you might get it through your thick skull that the people I’m talking about don’t deserve the sheer amount they earn. The proportion.

Do you actually believe that it’s right that the top 1% of society are collectively worth more than the bottom 90%, which is what the figures are by the way?

Do you think they work harder or that the bottom 90% are all idle?

Unless you fit into that 1%, or even the top 10%, which I very much doubt, you’re basically saying that you are one of those un productive, lazy jealous people. For Christ sake think about it.
