That's a very nice Ginkgo on the last pic Jeremy! That little plant on the base is a nice touch.

Don't know much about pines but thought they where evergreen. This one produced a bunch of cones. Is this normal color?

English Oak "Crimson Spire". I would of snapped this one up if it had lower branches. But I got another cultivar called "Skyrocket". But there are issues there also with reverse taper and wutnot.

It's totally normal, pines may be evergreens but they do not hold needles forever, they normally drop after about 3 years. Some trees hold them longer some less.

Poor thing :( Thought you posted cause that's how it winters:confused:. Mine is still green mostly, and I hope it stays that way through winter!

And all this time I thought most of the pines in the nursery was dying, and growing at he same time lol. Never payed much attention to trees until this year...
 
A Copper Beech picked up from a garden centre yest, chopped down from a taller tree and wired up....early days, but i can still enjoy its autumn colour right, why not!:cool:

Here a Carpinus betulus i saw in the garden centre today, being sold for £150...very tempted, so much potential IMHO.. the autumnal colour isnt too shabby either
