Bald Cypress. Our fall and winter come on so slow that BC don't normally get a really pretty rusty orange color...... a little rust and then...........just brown.

Thanks. No bonsai soil here. I use about 80-90% organic soil and plug up the drain holes for the spring and summer months. This is 4 growing seasons from a bare stump.

Thanks for the input. I have two of the three things right. Only in my second growing season.

This is today as I was moving trees into the cold frame. We have had night time temps into the 20s and 30s the last few weeks.

Wish the Chinese elm on the right would tell the one on the left that it's time to change colors already or at least take a hint from all the leaves on the ground.

That stupid elm is just laughing the cold weather off.....geez
