It makes me happy to have received all the likes. It was really hard to vote based on experience, starting material, transformation etc.., I probably would have given it to pinion myself. Look at that scruffy little shrub he started with, how can anything nice be made of that! Really nice image in the end. Good work all around from everyone.
I am really happy with what I was able to tease out too, no doubt. On purchase all I could really say was there was trunk in there somewhere. The hardest part was the twisting of the fronds with fine wires to lay them flat as well as position them. Wrapping one direction on one, then around the trunk to find it's the wrong direction on the next, things got sloppy here and there. Good practice.
I would like to pick the stickroot prize if that's up for canada? I have a tree in mind for a stickroot pot alright, nice little guy too. I'd be happy to cover shipping.
Thanks, Sorce, sponsors, everyone.
And since noob's never seem to get any honor for having
the guts to enter one of these I decided it would be diff this time.
As soon as it is confirmed by @sorce the newest to bonsai
can have either Morton's book or fifty dollars whichever they
would like.
Oh wow thanks!Confirmed; the "newest to bonsai" submittal
was @wsteinhoff. Please PM me so we can make
arrangements to get it to you.
So sorry
