CM BONSAI!!

Sounds good to me! 🤣

So what else could you grow at the same time with tridents and JMs that could use the same nutrition/light schedule?

Also, Japanese Red Pine could do good on JBP regimen. I am growing one side by side with my JBPs and it is doing great.
I am thinking Japanese Red Pine Seedlings……Seedlings are in many many respects admirable as seedling cuttins…..

For so

me reason tridents and maples do not start right……….too much light or too much cal mag

Everything needs to be one equal start in the entire growhouse….equal fertilizer equal water frequency, equal light…………I would need an extra grow house😆
I would be happy to donate a koto hime or deshojo air layer if you are wanting to experiment 😉

Curtis: Got my 7 Elms today and they look great! Do I need to pot them for a while or can I put them in an oval pot (final) as a forest now?

THE PINES ARE ABOUT GONE .

Siberian elms are continued growth though which is a win win……..I will keep them $10 apiece all throughout winter.

much pine for next season…….I learned many valuable lessons……all started at identical times( which I didn’t).And started much later like January.
I should gather a surplus of the pines next season…like the elms are this season.
Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the heads up, grabbed two more to get a party of five going this summer. My two elms arrived a few days ago and have been planted in the grow bed hoping to keep the squirrels away until those are nicely acclimated.

Only three jbp left folks!!

Just moved house, a harrowing experience for all plants involved but these guys did swimmingly in their colanders and pumice grow beds. They are in maybe 30-40% akadama and the rest pumice with a dash of kiryuzuna. I may be overdoing it with the fertilizer but these guys have shown no pain—pines I got from Curtis some many months ago. Are these doing about as expected, better than, or worse than they should be at this rate?

Most I’m letting grow freely, 3 or 4 I cut off the central leader to see what would happen.

the cooler early morning light pictures are more accurate color, the yellow ones are mid afternoon on a very warm day

Tallest a little over a foot

I like your benches...😁

Received my trees (one of each) and got them both potted. They look strong and healthy.

@cmeg1 , Should I add fertilizer right away or let them get settled before adding anything?

Thank you so much!
IMHO, you are good to go with fertilizer. JBP in general can take it.
