Brightside Bonsai Pots

Thank you! Hold your phone sideways and you will see that it is also the shape of an eye! I’m glad to have some of my Brightside pots in your collection! It means a lot!
Definity more of your pots in my future. :) I use my laptop, but I saw the eye without flipping anything.

I didn't know you already had experience in the arts. Seeing your metal sculptures makes Mr appreciate your pots all the more :)

I'm sure you will be glad to know that you are one of my main pot dealers ;P
Thanks! And it’s an honor to be one of your primary pot dealers! I keep my product fresh with freshly baked pots regularly 😂

I started practicing bonsai in 2018. I wanted this post to share a little of my background and starting this ceramic endeavor. I started Brightside Bonsai January 1st 2023.

My name Brightside Bonsai is a manifestation I have with my vessel’s giving the bonsai a home as the sun shines down on them. It’s a vision that my name represents. To me this is larger than me and feels good.

It is very inspirational to create work for others to use in their creative endeavors with bonsai. I have many idea’s still to create. As far as I’m concerned Brightside hasn’t even started making vessels. As my feel for the clay material is starting to register with my past as a metal sculptor.

I really thought my fellow bonsai practitioners and professionals would appreciate a couple of the sculptures I created in the past.

This is called “The Vessel.” It is a gnarly battered tree that hosts life within it living as a vessel. I also forged a blood vessel that is at the base of the tree. It’s the connection of life.

This is called “within the blink of an eye.” It encompasses the beauty in a forest as you look up at the night sky. The top and bottom is cut out but has a pumpkin vine creeping up the wall and the roots creeping down the wall. It’s like 4ft. There’s well over 10,000 hammer strikes in this piece.

The two railings were inspired by whimsical and botanical life. Plus the dragonfly in the first garden rail.

For all who actually read this it means a lot.
I want to put these rails in my garden even though I don't have any stairs that need them 😁

I am really getting into geometric style pots. I plan to do a series. This is the first one I’ve made so far! Was a big learning experience. Very pleased with how it came out! It was improvised without a drawing just went for what I envisioned.

This new calendar year my goals with my pottery are to make larger pots! This one will be roughly 16x11x2 3/4 inches. Right now working on custom pots for people for spring time. Want to make sure they are done in time.
