Back when we were first starting out, my ex had a similar experience.
We were working on the routine spring chores - prepping the garden, resealing the windows, and the like - and she made a run to Home Depot while I kept working in the yard. An employee of course asks her if there's anything he could help with. Before even thinking about what she was saying she answers, "yes, I need some caulk and a hoe."
She came back empty-handed.

Nope. I just had it in a small bag and had to set it on it's side to go through the x-ray machine. They didn't make anything of it.
