'Asazakura', sport of 'Asahi no Izumi'

Very nice flower. But so far all are very similar. Nice to have a yellowish blotch on a pink flower. And you can see some pink dustings/texture with a very slight increase of darker pinks near the edge.
Dark red should be able to appear as well. One strange thing however, these flowers are much thicker and more plasticy than those of 'Asahi no Izumi'. But the leaf size is exactly the same. Not sure if this is a triploid version of 'Asahi no Izumi', but it seems like it may be. And to me that is surprising then that the leaves stay the same.
Something is up.
I will test the fertility.

'Occhio di Pernice'

Italian R.mucronatum hybrid. Flowers hold up very well in full sun. Much better than some kurume and satsuki. However, the foliage is not so attractive.
The dark purple flowers on top are a sorting branch. But these bleach in full sun.
There should be a flower that has a dark pink blotch on a white flower, but it does not appear for me.
Hence, the name is 'Eye of the Partridge'.
But don't image search it, because Italians also use this name for a clavus. This is probably the best picture of it online anyway.

Girard’s Crimson

I know this cultivar is pictured earlier in the thread but these flowers are more pink than other photos. Also, if anyone knows, are the Girard’s cultivars even Satsuki?

This is my Kinpai, it has more white.View attachment 438154
I noticed that some have white throats like yours, some have mixed, and some have solids.

One has to be selective when taking cuttings. If mine doesn't throw a white throat.....I may have to trade some cuttings with you for yours.

My 30 year old Martha Hitchcock, about 4" tall and 6" across. Starting blooming about 2 weeks ago and has at least a week left, probably two. A Glen Dale Hybrid but I think its daddy pollen was a Satsuki.

I need to root a few of these this year.
I hear something in head saying you need a cutting of that one!
